City Work Program

The City of Cupertino's Work Program guides some of the major efforts of the City for the upcoming two fiscal years. The City Work Program ensures that staff efforts are aligned with the goals set by the Mayor and City Council, and thus, the community. This approach keeps the City transparent and holds us accountable to focusing resources on strategies that best serve our community’s needs and aspirations.

FY 2025-2027 City Work Program

In November 2024, the City began the process for the FY 2025-2027 Council Goal Setting and Prioritization Workshop. Staff laid out an approach that supports councilmembers in discussing community needs, evaluating potential projects, and determining the most impactful priorities. This is important so that the limited resources, time, and effort can be allocated effectively. This exercise is also an opportunity for Council to provide clear direction to staff on priorities for the upcoming two years. A strategic planning session took place on January 22 and the Workshop was held on Monday, March 3. On March 18, Council approved a list of priority items for the FY 2025-2027 City Work Program. On June 3, Council approved the funding for the FY 2025-27 City Work Program(PDF, 612KB) as part of the FY2025-26 adopted budget.
