vVolunteer at the Cupertino Senior Center and help create a welcoming, connected community for adults 50+. Volunteers support programs in many ways, from helping with events and socials to teaching, interacting with members, and supporting staff behind the scenes.

Ways to Volunteer

Volunteer opportunities are based on need for a specific programs. Possible volunteer opportunities include:

  • Volunteer Class Instructors
  • Hidden Treasures (August to October)
  • Cupertino TV Productions
  • Social Leads
  • Needlecraft Group
  • Greeting Cards Group
  • Front Desk
  • Senior Advisory Council
  • Host/Hostess Committee
  • Kitchen Support
  • Bingo Cashiers and Callers

Becoming a Volunteer

  1. Be a current Senior Center member
  2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation. Orientations are held monthly on the first Monday at 10 a.m. and the third Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Tech Lab. Orientations are drop-in, but space is limited, email Zoe Keeley at zoek@cupertino.gov to reserve a spot
  3. Volunteer placement is based on qualifications, program needs, and staff review
  4. A volunteer cannot serve in a volunteer capacity where a conflict of interest exists

Volunteers are required to log their service hours through the Volunteer Portal, under the ‘Hours Log’ tab.
