Community Survey
Creating A Positive, Healthy, Connected Community
The 2024 Community Survey Results are Now Available!
Since 1998, the City of Cupertino has conducted a Community Survey to get a pulse on overall resident perceptions about living in Cupertino and satisfaction with City services. This survey was typically conducted every two to three years, however the 2020 survey was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and 2017 was the last year that the City conducted a Community Survey prior to 2024.
This year the City commissioned Godbe Research Associates and McGuire Research, independent research firms, who conducted the survey in November 2024. This survey was for Cupertino residents only to share their feedback on City services. City Services are defined as any work or outcome produced by City staff for the Cupertino Community. Examples include maintaining parks and City streets, creating classes or programs at Quinlan or the Senior Center, protecting the environment, and having safe sidewalks and crosswalks.
The survey participants were selected using a scientific random sample procedure and respondents were contacted by email, text, or telephone (cell or landline). Phone call and text message communication originated from a (415) area code. Surveys completed in email or text were available in English, Chinese, and Hindi. All responses are entirely confidential and anonymous and were used for research purposes only. This data will help City Council prioritize their goals for the City for the next two years.
