Switching from Gas to Electric Support is Available

In Cupertino, 25% of our greenhouse gas emissions come from gas appliances in existing buildings. These emissions can be eliminated by switching appliances to electric. This process can be cumbersome, but programs and funding are available!

Efficiency And Sustainable Energy (EASE) Home Program: This income-qualifying program helps Bay Area residents make their homes healthier, more comfortable, and energy efficient with improvements like insulation, duct-sealing, and induction cooking upgrades. Residents co-pay a capped 20% of the project cost and BayREN covers the rest.

Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) offers over $20,000 in rebates and incentives for residents, businesses, and contractors.

  • Residents (homeowners, renters, and vehicle owners) can get rebates for induction cooktops/ranges, EV chargers, home battery storage, electric yard care, and other electric home upgrades.
  • Businesses (commercial, multifamily, and non-profits) can receive rebates for all-encompassing electrification, technical support, and energy data.
  • Contractors can receive fundamental training, installation, and bonus incentives.
