Commemorative Bench Dedication Policy

The City of Cupertino has adopted the Commemorative Bench Dedication Policy that establishes guidelines for individuals to commemorate or recognize a person with the purchase and placement of a bench in one of the beautiful City’s parks as approved by the City. The policy provides individuals with an opportunity to commemorate a person that has direct connection to the City.

The donation of a memorial bench includes the purchase and installation of the bench, an engraved plaque, site preparation, and maintenance by the Public Works Department.

Process for Commemorating a Bench:

  1. Download and read the Commemorative Bench Dedication Policy(PDF, 191KB)
  2. Download and complete the Commemorative Bench Dedication Application(PDF, 209KB)
  3. Email completed application to public_works@cupertino.gov. Staff will be in contact with you upon receiving the application.

Please note that no agreement is finalized without an approval by the City’s Director of Public Works or his/her designee.
