Community Storytelling Platform

In celebration of Cupertino’s 70th Anniversary on October 10, 2025, the Cupertino Stories initiative invites community members to share personal stories about their connection to the City. Whether you’ve lived, worked, volunteered, or done business here, your story matters. Submit yours at cupertinostories.org or email cupertinostories@gmail.com. This project is a partnership with the Cupertino Library Foundation, Cupertino Historical Society, and other local organizations.

 

Bobateeno

Bobateeno will be back in 2025. It's a unique experience for the City of Cupertino and a fun event for teens. It's packed with flavor, fun, and unforgettable memories! All the Teen organizations are welcome to host a showcase table for free. Please visit their website for further details at www.bobateeno.org. Booth registration is available. Dance at the Plaza

Join us for a lively afternoon of music and dance at Civic Plaza, located in front of the Cupertino Library and City Hall. This open-air event will feature global music and dancing for all ages. Monthly Chat with Mayor Chao

Held every second Monday at rotating restaurants across Cupertino, these meetings are an opportunity for residents and businesses to engage with the Mayor in a relaxed setting for meaningful conversations and community connection. This April session will feature attendance from the City Manager and Sheriff Captain. Residents are warmly invited to raise their questions and share feedback. Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Thank you to the CERT, CARES, ARM, and Block Leader volunteers for their service. About 50 people attended the dinner, many of whom have served over 10, 20, or even some for 30 years. A proclamation was presented to them at the April 15 City Council Meeting for National Volunteer Week. Special thank you to AlphaX for sponsoring the dinner.

Mayor’s Booth at the 41st Annual Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival

Mayor Liang Chao will host a booth at the 2025 Cherry Blossom Festival. Stop by Booth 220 to say hello and learn more about her initiatives and vision for Cupertino’s future.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual event that celebrates Cupertino’s Sister City relationship with Toyokawa, Japan. Writing Family History with AI

To support the Community Storytelling Program and your storytelling journey, the Cupertino Library Foundation hosted a “Writing Family History with AI” workshop on Tuesday, May 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cupertino Library. Learn how to use AI tools to craft and submit your Cupertino story.

Cupertino Community Multicultural Juried Art Show at the AAPI Multicultural Festival & Art Show

Held as part of the AAPI Multicultural Festival & Art Show, this event at Civic Plaza will highlight artwork by or about Asian American and Pacific Islander artists and students. Enjoy cultural booths, live performances, and interactive activities that celebrate Cupertino’s vibrant diversity. The Tech Icon - Cupertino Stories of Entrepreneurship
The Tech Icon, in partnership with the City of Cupertino, is proud to host two accomplished serial entrepreneurs — Arun Santhebennur and Srini Dharmaji — as they share their inspiring journeys. Both entrepreneurs are proud residents of Cupertino.
