City of Cupertino Art Galleries

Within the City of Cupertino, various art galleries and locations exist which promote local artists and are open to the public.

  • Euphrat Museum of Art, DeAnza College - An engaging and community-oriented exhibition space located on the campus of De Anza College that highlights contemporary art that explores social issues, diverse cultural perspectives, and creative expression from both established artists and emerging voices. It serves as a vibrant cultural hub that connects the college student body with the broader Silicon Valley community through thought-provoking visual arts.
  • Cupertino Library - The Cupertino Library has a strong and dynamic connection with the arts, serving as a vital space where community, literature, and visual expression intersect. Rather than just being a place for books, it acts as a cultural gallery and canvas for the community in several distinct ways:
    • Rotating Art Displays and Exhibits: In a long-standing partnership with the Fine Arts League of Cupertino, the library hosts regular rotating art exhibits.

    • Artist Awards: Through its annual artist recognition awards, the library displays the winners of the Distinguished Artist Award for established creators with a significant body of work and community contribution, the Emerging Artist Award for promising talent of any age, and the Young Artist Award celebrating local achievements in visual arts for youth aged 6 to 14.

Local Organizations in Cupertino

Local organizations in Cupertino benefit the art scene by creating spaces for public display, providing financial support, and celebrating cultural diversity.

  • Cupertino Library Foundation - The Cupertino Library Foundation supports local art by funding and hosting regular rotating exhibits on the library's Art Wall, giving Santa Clara County creators a public platform to display their work. Additionally, the non-profit finances community cultural initiatives, including live music showcases, outdoor theatrical performances, and hands-on art workshops that engage local families.
  • Fine Arts League of Cupertino - Founded in 1963, the Fine Arts League of Cupertino (FALC) is an active organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging the practice and appreciation of the visual arts across Cupertino and surrounding Bay Area communities. The group supports local artists of all levels by offering public exhibition opportunities, skill-building demonstrations, and valuable networking resources.
  • Rotary Club - The Rotary Club of Cupertino supports local art by funding interactive, public art installations and integrating diverse artistic performances into community events. Rather than operating as an arts organization itself, the club leverages its resources to blend artistic expression with civic utility and humanitarian fundraising.
