The City of Cupertino joined the City of Santa Clara and regional transportation partners to celebrate the expansion of SV Hopper service into North Santa Clara during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 16.
Mayor Kitty Moore attended the event alongside Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor, members of the Santa Clara City Council, and regional partners to mark the launch of the expanded service. The new service area makes it easier for residents, employees, and visitors to travel between Cupertino and North Santa Clara while accessing jobs, shopping, dining, and regional transit without relying on a personal vehicle.
The expansion reflects the continued partnership between Cupertino, Santa Clara, and regional agencies to improve mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and provide convenient, sustainable transportation options throughout Silicon Valley. By expanding access to affordable, on-demand transit, the program helps connect communities and supports more flexible transportation choices for people traveling throughout the region.
