The City of Cupertino welcomed nearly 200 participants to Cupertino Library Field on Wednesday, July 22 for Cupertino Kicks—a community event that brought families to celebrate this summer’s soccer excitement.
As part of FIFA's Football for Schools program, the City distributed 200 official adidas FIFA soccer balls, generously provided through a partnership between FIFA and the United States Conference of Mayors. The giveaway encouraged youth to get outside, stay active, and enjoy the game of soccer while making quality equipment more accessible to local families.

Throughout the evening, children participated in training drills and cooled off with complimentary popsicles. Families connected with neighbors for an active evening at the field while participants gathered together to spell “FIFA” across the field.
The event concluded with children receiving their official FIFA soccer balls and lining up to have them signed by Mayor Kitty Moore whose initiative this year encourages our community to be active and move more. Thank you to the families and children who joined the City for an unforgettable and exciting evening.
