The City of Cupertino kicked off LGBTQ+ Pride Month with our annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, June 2. The event featured a moving performance by the Silicon Valley Gay Men's Chorus and remarks from member of Council, who shared personal reflections on the importance of supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Mayor Liang Chao opened the ceremony, and special guest Sera Fernando, Manager of the Santa Clara County Office of LGBTQ Affairs, sharing her own personal testimony and the County's work.

Thank you to all the elected officials, performers, resource partners, and community members who joined us to celebrate. The Intersex Progress Pride Flag will fly outside City Hall for the remainder of June in honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

Special thanks to our resource tabling partners: Cupertino Library, Santa Clara County Office of LGBTQ Affairs, Q Corner Program of Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services, LGBTQ Youth Space, Rainbow Chamber Silicon Valley, and Silicon Valley Pride.
