City Highlights Public Works Recognition Week
Published on May 23, 2025
In honor of Public Works Recognition Week, the City of Cupertino is proud to celebrate the contributions of our Public Works professionals. This week recognizes the essential services and behind-the-scenes efforts of our dedicated Public Works professionals. It’s a time to recognize their role in keeping our City running safely and efficiently.

To kick off the week, the Public Works Department in coordination with the Recreation Division hosted a “Touch a Truck” event at Quinlan Community Center. The event welcomed preschoolers to explore the big trucks and powerful tools that help maintain our City. Children ages 3 to 4 got an up-close look at an Aerial Lift Truck, Woodchipper, Stump Grinder, Ride-On Mower, Vactor Truck, and Crane Truck.
In addition to community activities, Public Works Week was officially recognized during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 20. The City of Cupertino extends a sincere thank you to all Public Works professionals for keeping our City safe, clean, and running efficiently.
