CREST Awards and Commissioner Recognition
The second annual Cupertino Community Service Awards will occur on Wednesday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This ceremony will recognize the 2025 CREST Awardees (Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken) and Cupertino Commissioners. This year, the City of Cupertino is also celebrating the 70th anniversary of Cupertino's official incorporation as Santa Clara County's 13th city. A limited number of seats will be available to the public, with registration opening in mid-September.

2025 CREST Awards Categories
Each year, the City of Cupertino presents its CREST Awards, "Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken," to honor the outstanding contributions of Cupertino community members. There are five award categories.
Lifetime Achievement: This award recognizes a member of the community who has volunteered in the City of Cupertino for 10-plus years.
Volunteer of the Year: This award recognizes individuals who have made a difference to the Cupertino community through volunteer service.
Organization of the Year: This award recognizes organizations that have made a difference to the Cupertino community through volunteer service.
Rising Star of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who has volunteered in Cupertino for three or less years but shows a continued commitment to the future of the Cupertino community.
Hometown Hero/es: This award honors an exceptional individual who exemplifies our City's spirit through their public safety service. Whether serving as a first responder, firefighter, EMS professional, emergency preparedness volunteer, law enforcement officer, or member of the armed forces, this hero goes above and beyond to protect, serve, and uplift our community.
