Cupertino Celebrates 70th Anniversary at Community Service Awards

Last night, the City of Cupertino hosted the second annual Cupertino Community Service Awards, a special evening recognizing the recipients of the 2025 CREST Awards (Cupertino Recognizes Extra Steps Taken) and honoring outgoing and continuing City Commissioners and Committee members for their dedicated service to the community. Throughout the month, the City commemorated the 70th anniversary of Cupertino's incorporation as Santa Clara County's 13th city with many activities, such as the first-ever Restaurant Week and Puzzle Hunt, wrapping up the celebration with this year's Community Service Awards.

The event featured over 30 artworks submitted by community members of all ages for the "My Cupertino" Art Showcase, highlighting community creativity and local talent while sharing what they love most about Cupertino. Attendees also had the opportunity to make memories at our 70th-themed photo wall and take home commemorative giveaways. Cupertino High School Chamber Orchestra provided music for the event, as well as leading the "Happy Birthday" song as attendees were served food, drinks, and cake from local Cupertino eateries, including Pineapple Thai, Voyager Coffee, and La Patisserie.
