Let your pup take the plunge during a dog-only swim in the Blackberry Farm pools. It’s a paws-itively fun way for your pooch to enjoy the pools before they open for summer swimming—tail wags are highly encouraged. Each dog must be registered individually, but one handler can lead the pack (up to two dogs).

Swim Sessions (45 minutes of tail-wagging fun)

Block 1 - 9 to 9:45 a.m.
Block 2 - 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Block 3 - 11 to 11:45 a.m.
Block 4 - Noon to 12:45 p.m.

Registration for the May 16 Pooch Plunge opens February 3 for residents and February 10 for non-residents. Don’t paws, these spots fill up fast!

Event Rules

Two dogs per handler
Humans are not allowed in the water
Aggressive dogs will be asked to leave and will not be refunded
Owners may not physically force their dogs into the water
All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations
Lifeguards on duty, dogs swim at owner's risk

2025 Event Recaps

Now occurring twice yearly, Pooch Plunge returned for the eighth year and for the first time in spring on Saturday, March 29, 2025. More than 160 playful pooches took over the Blackberry Farm pools, making a splash and having a blast. Nearly 200 dogs joined us for the fall edition on September 6 as well. Dogs met new pooch pals in the grassy area and played with the agility and dog toys provided, making it an unforgettable day of tail-wagging fun.
